Our House in KUMBAKONAM

Aranmanai Krishna Bhagavathar Dharma Chatram, built by Great Grandfather of my mother, just opposite to Kumbakonam Railway Station. Story has it that, he was a businessman and used to travel in caravans (a chain of about 50 to 60 bullock carts) from Kumbakonam to Maharashtra, to buy raw silk yarns and sell Silk sarees made in Kumbakonam to them.  The purpose of this Chatram is to do allow yathris to stay free of cost, do Krishna Bhajans every day and feed Bhagavathars.  What a pity..... it is broiled in courtcase and useless now.
